We're proud of our Cottage and we invite everyone who stays to give us honest feedback. We've been overwhelmed by the positive comments we have received so far about the Cottage and the surrounding area. We'll be add more feedback as we get it throughout the year.

Spent a wonderful few days over Christmas, visiting relatives in the area. The Cottage has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, well cared for and user friendly. We felt at home immediately, beds comfortable, kitchen so well equipped and central heating brilliant. We really appreciated the welcome basket and the added extras for Molly, our labrador! Did not want to leave! Running Fox really friendly and not to be missed.

We absolutely enjoyed every moment of our stay at Riverside cottage, beautiful cottage with a warm and cosy feeling. We stayed in Demcember and the open fire was perfect. The location is great, we managed to explore many parts of northumberland and will definitely be returning and hopefully to this cottage. There was everything we needed and could not believe how much you provided at the cottage, great value for money.

"We loved the cottage, location by the river and in the village and the welcome we had. A very comfortable stay, everything has been really well thought out to make it a chilled out place to enjoy all the great places, all within 40 minutes, that this part of Northumberland has to offer. The local shops and pubs are really good too. The arrival welcome pack was really good. The cottage guide is the best we have seen. We are already looking forward to a return next year."

"We had a lovely week at Riverside Cottage, the location was great, central to the area that we wanted to explore. We were impressed with the price of the cottage, the way our booking and subsequent contacts were handled, very professional but with a personal touch, and lots of information both before and when we arrived. Our first impression of the cottage was that it was very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, and it felt more like a home than a holiday cottage.  We appreciated the heating which was very efficient, if we got back early and advanced the heating, it took only 10 minutes for the cottage to feel cosy and warm (I was just disappointed that we didn't need to light the fire!). We had every gadget that we could have needed. The area is great, we enjoyed seeing Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles, Cragside House (fabulous), Beamish, and some retail therapy at the Metro Centre. Barter Books at Alnwick is a must for bookworms like me! We were very impressed with the way our booking was handled and all the information before we arrived and in the cottage. The phone call when we arrived was much appreciated and also the lovely welcome pack. The cottage had everything except a cat, I miss mine when I'm away! Many many thanks once again, it was great."

"The house was a delight couldnt have asked for more everything we needed to hand, however we were blessed with perfect weather all week, delightfully furnished, ideally located to discover northumberland."

"Very comfortable cottage in an ideal location for easy access to many attractions. Quiet village with friendly people. Very nice welcome basket from the local bakery. Super breakfast last morning in the Running Fox."

"We felt at home straight away in the cottage and the location was beautiful my little boy especially loved feeding the ducks every morning. All the extras were taken care of and it was cosy and relaxing. The welcome basket was lovely and we were so happy with the cake we had it everyday!!"

"Just wanted to let you both know we had a wonderful stay at the cottage, thank you. The Running Fox was wonderful, the food was out of this world. Manuel's order of cheese and meat plough-mans was so big even he couldn't finish it. Your information book was just great and helped us find lots of places, the telephone was a lovely touch."

"We had a excellent holiday in your cottage and will be recomending to friends and family. We were impressed with your communication and the information you provided which helped to make our holiday easier to plan. Brilliant location for walks especially the local ones from the cottage and those further afield, the beach, NT & EH properties and thanks to your suggestion to go to the Sunday market in Amble can also recommend illy's ice cream parlour near the Marina especially the elderflower and ginger. Good food at the Northumberland Arms and cakes from the Running Fox. The towels for the dog were a good idea. Will definately put you on our list to revisit again sometime. All we can say is thank you."

"What a delightful cottage! We have spent a wonderful relaxing week re-visiting areas we have been to before three years ago, what a relief to find that they remain the beautiful locations they where then and have not been invaded by slot machines etc. The location of the cottage enabled us to travel easily to all areas. The cottage has been tastefully restored and furnished with all the modern appliances we needed but also kept an "oldy worldly feel" with the lovely old fireplaces, shutters etc. We both felt that this cottage provided a wonderful ambience that enabled us to have a great holiday. I would without hesitation stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends and family."

We had a brilliant week in Riverside Cottage, there was everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Northumberland Arms, used the Running Fox on a number of occasions (recommend the merangues, corned beef & potato pie and the bread rolls!) We shopped at the grocers and used the Post Office. Last but not least we used the Fish & Chip Van on Thursday!  We enjoyed the 6 mile walk from the cottage and had days out in Alnwick, Bamburgh, Amble, Seahouses, Alnmouth and Warkworth, all very worth visiting. My husband went further afield than me as he cycled 20 miles + every morning while I read my book!  Thank you again for letting us share your cottage, it is lovely, in a great part of Northumberland. We brought back some flyers of the cottage to pass on to our friends.

Loved our stay at gorgeous Riverside Cottage! Had a wonderful relaxing week as a family and got to explore some stunning places...the cottage is fantastically located for so many places in Northumberland and is beautifully furnished...we didn't want to leave! Thoughtful touches and helpful communication made it a hassle-free stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone...only trouble is we'd like to keep it to ourselves!
